Fitting Everything Everywhere All at Once

Model Zoo
AstroPhot has a whole zoo of parametric models. These can be stacked together to represent complex fields of stars, galaxies, and more! Check out the zoo tutorial for more information on what’s available

GPU Acceleration
AstroPhot analysis can be accelerated by running on GPUs! Currently an order of magnitude speedup is possible. Expect this to only get better as we optimize performance! What’s more, it’s super easy, AstroPhot will automatically use whatever computing resources are available.

Covariant Uncertainties
AstroPhot is designed to give detailed understanding of uncertainties in a model. Built-in optimizers can run MCMC chains (slow but detailed uncertainties), or Levenberg-Marquardt (fast and Gaussian covariant uncertainties).
Note as well that AstroPhot optimizes the PSF parameters alongside other (galaxy/star) parameters! See the PSF tutorial for more!

Multi-band multi-epoch
AstroPhot can built and fit models which span many images simultaneously. This increases signal to noise and meaningfully captures the mult-image nature of most modern astronomy datasets! See the joint model tutorial for more.

Extract broadband SEDs
This SED corresponds to the multi-band fitting example in the other window. It matches well with literature sources, but AstroPhot ensures the fluxes are comparable in a principled way. No aperture corrections or PSF matching needed, these are all handled in the forward modelling.

Large crowded models
AstroPhot can handle very large models with many closely overlapping objects. A number of tricks keep the optimization problem manageable while still accounting for interactions of parameters/models. See the group modelling tutorial for more!
